There are a lot of people doing what you do. So it's important to separate yourself from the pack with promotions, including images and video. Videos are a good way to promote your brand but sometimes no video is better than a bad one. Remember your video will represent you to the world. Try to have the best quality you can afford and if you can't afford a decent quality, you may want to delay your project. But remember, quality video services can be found at a reasonable price. Here is a tip based on some videos that I've seen posted on social media.
There's a lighting technique used in film and production, that gives a subject a ghostly look. I first learned about "ghostly lighting" during a lighting seminar in 1994 and the technique is still used today. I wont go into detail about how to accomplish it, but I'm seeing this technique used in corporate, promotional videos.
I will take a chance and say this is by mistake. But the results are the same. When producing your videos for promotion, be mindful of your lighting. Lighting sets the mood and helps tell your story. What story are you telling if your lighting makes you look like you are promoting services from HEAVEN. Your services may be good. But going to heaven to get them may be a stretch for your target audience. Everyone have a good day and keep promoting YOU and What You Do.
